Leaving JP – how to file for individual tax return if online system is not ready yet?

Dear everyone,

I am leaving in December and got all my documents together for filing my final individual tax return as written on this website: [https://www.nta.go.jp/english/taxes/individual/12004.htm](https://www.nta.go.jp/english/taxes/individual/12004.htm)

I was employed until October, and only had one employer/income. I also did the online individual tax return before and wanted to use the .data file to just update the info. But I could not enter the data for 令和5only for up to 令和4 (see screenshot).

Is the only option to go to the tax office in person? It should be possible right because the info said that an individual can file for it before leaving Japan.

And final question: if I file for it, do I need to appoint a tax representative who will then get the tax refund on my behalf? Or can I still use my personal bank account and collect it on a visit to JP on a later date?

Ty for any help!
