I’ve had my 19 month old sleeping in a crib nearly since birth and he’s pretty used to dozing off to sleep on his own for bedtime. Thing is, we’re going for a trip in Japan soon and many of the accommodation sites (mix of hotels and airbnbs) do not have cribs, so we would have to use their spare futons. I’m worried he won’t get the drift to sleep on the futon and just keep playing around because he’s so used to the routine of getting into a crib to sleep. Other places we’ve travelled to always had cribs which he slept great in, so this is a first for us.
I’m trying to avoid bringing a portable cot to Japan cos its pretty bulky.
Anyone here have any advice or similar experience?
