Hi there. Last month I was at the National Palace Museum in Taipei. They had some cool black ceramic (bowls and stuff) that had been glazed with a special technique. My friend (art student) mentioned that there were more of these rare black ceramics in a collection in a temple in Kyoto.
I’m in Kyoto for a few days and I’d like to surprise my friend with some pictures of the black ceramics, but I can’t find them online. Does anyone recall seeing such a thing at any of the temples in Kyoto?
