[Doubt]Tsumitate NISA -> New NISA conversion

Hello guys,

I haven’t checked my Rakuten securities account for a few months, but when I logged in today, I saw a message from Rakuten. It said that my tsumitate NISA will be automatically transferred to the New NISA starting from next year. It also asked me if I wanted to start a new New NISA account instead, or something like that. I’m not sure if I understood everything correctly, because my Japanese is not very good, and I used google translate to help me.

JP
” いままでのNISAの積立設定は、自動的に新NISAへ引き継ぎます。
新NISAで積立設定を変更したい、積立をはじめたい場合は「積立予約」(スマートフォンサイト)をご利用ください。 ”

I’m a bit confused about the transition from tsumitate NISA to New NISA. If Rakuten automatically transfers my current tsumitate NISA to the New NISA, what will happen to the money I’ve already saved? I thought that money would not count towards my New NISA limit and would stay separate and tax-free for 20 years. But it seems like Rakuten will combine them both(?)

Thanks in advance guys !!
