The closing of Wrestle Kingdom 18 was an emotional rollercoaster. For a second, I hated Gedo and NJPW for not giving Naito the respected he had earned and instead putting fucking EVIL on the spotlight once again. And then, when the crowd chanted SANADA’s name after his big rescue, I saw what a smart way that was to not only play with our feelings, but also give SANADA a farewell as the good guy champion he always was.
Very nice of Gedo, I must say.
