Question on Nenkin After Relinquishing Japanese Citizenship

I was a naturalized Japanese citizen and I worked in Japan for 7 years. I met my American wife and moved to the US with her. I became a US citizen a couple of years later. I couldn’t keep my Japanese citizenship since Japan doesn’t allow dual citizenships.

My question is what happens to my Nenkin once I renounce my Japanese citizenship at Japanese embassy officially. Am I still qualified to be able to withdraw once I reach retirement age as a non-Japanese citizen? Also keep in mind I only worked in Japan for 7 years. I recall there was a 10 year eligibility requirement to receive Nenkin.

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Retirement isn’t too far down the road. I definitely hope I can get something out of Nenkin if possible.
