3 Days Skiing in Hokkaido – Seeking Recommendations

Hello,
We’re flying to Sapporo on Sunday 31st March, and looking to decide where to ski for three days. We fly out on Thursday 4 April from Sapporo, and are trying to avoid having a car.
6 adults, intermediate skiing level overall, and looking for a resort that hopefully still has some good runs open with decent snow that late in the season.
Was originally considering Niseko Hirafu, but accommodation is quite expensive, and it seems too touristy.
Plus as it’s that late in the season, I figured we may as well try something different (we’re from Australia, but I’ve skied back home, and quite a bit in USA – loved the Colorado Resorts).
Was thinking about Furano, but read that some people weren’t that impressed with it.
Also considered Rusutu, but as it’s associated with the Epic pass, I thought a mountain resort that isn’t EPIC / IKON would be better, as potentially less crowds.
What would you suggest?
Ideally there’ll be an onsen to relax in also, and doable public transport options from New Chitose Airport
Thanks
