For context, I’m using a Samsung S22, Android 14 on One UI 6.0. I’ve used eSIMs before, but have always had the problem of needing to turn on the “data roaming” option in my phone settings to get the eSIMs to work, which is not ideal as the setting affects the physical SIM as well.
I do want to keep the physical SIM inside the phone to get international texts for 2FA (I have accounts that insist on using SMS for 2FA), so hoping to find an eSIM option that won’t require me to toggle on Data Roaming.
Also, is there one eSIM that would be good for a 1 week in Japan -> 1 week in HK -> 2 weeks in Japan trip, or should I just get another eSIM for the HK portion?
