I find it very hard to find clothes made from natural fibres here.
It’s led me to wonder, given the humid summers, why are so many clothes (shirts and dresses in particular) sold here made from 100% polyester? As a fabric I just don’t see the appeal in such high summer humidity. Sure, it doesn’t stain and lasts for a long time but it’s staticky, non-breathable and clingy and not at all comfortable in summer or good for the planet. Yet, a huge number of spring dresses coming out on sale at the moment are all made from the stuff. This isn’t a pattern I’ve just noticed, I do wonder about it every year.
Any recommendations for stores / domestic brands that sell shirts, dresses, socks etc from natural fibres for the hotter months are appreciated!
