Japan travel itinerary tips – first timers

Hello everyone! So me and my dad are visiting japan in the spring and we are first time Japan travellers. My dad will pay as long as I plan the entire trip so I would love any advice and tips on my current itinerary! My dad is 70 years old and I am 21 years of age but because we are avid travellers I do not think his age will be of an issue to book a full trip :). Here is my current itinerary of cities I have found through social media that caught my attention and how I would plan it;

I would like to visit Hiroshima as well but Im not sure how to plan it, please let me know what anyone thinks of this itinerary and Im welcome to hear any feedback or must-tries and tips!

Thank you all for your realistic comments and views on the itinerary! I did have AI help me plan the trip to see how it would fit and I guess this got me an unrealistic result. For all of you who are worried about my dad I appreciate your concern, my dad is still very active and can certainly handle the intense travelling.

I currently am looking to update the itinerary so I will have at least 2 days per city and time to travel in between;

Tokyo 7th-10th
Hakone travel early on the 11th via express romancecar and take 2 days to visit the famous shrine, make use of an onsen and grab a view of Mount Fuji

13th travel back to Tokyo, leave in the evening for Takayama by shinkansen (maybe afternoon)

13th-16th Takayama
Enjoy the festival and go to the hida folk village + the Takayama Jinya etc

16th travel to kyoto via limited express wide view hida

16th to 20th kyoto to visit some gardens, Kinkaku-ji, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and whatever fits the schedule

21st early travel from kyoto to osaka

Need to figure out if I can plan both Osaka and Hiroshima for the last view days with time to travel back to Tokyo.

Hope this itinerary makes more sense and I would love to hear your responses and tips! 🙂
