Bilingual baby?

Context: child will grow up in an English speaking country with a Japanese mother who will speak Japanese to her…and then there’s me.

I’m roughly N2 level (haven’t taken the test so it’s a guess based on podcasts and media that I can understand) and actively studying to take and pass the N1 (for no other reason other than to gauge myself). Should I…speak to my daughter in English? Japanese?

What I’m thinking is my wife speaks to her in Japanese, I in English and then the “family language” is Japanese. I’m not sure how feasible that is. How about books? Should I read to her in Japanese or English? I’d like to speak to her in Japanese but I wouldn’t want her picking up any grammar or pronunciation mistakes. Baby will go to a Japanese preschool and kindergarten (and it’s my understanding they’re bilingual leaning more towards Japanese) when she’s old enough.
