“friend” used my address and tel# for his credit card info before leaving Japan for good. I was not aware of this until now when he is asking me to get pin from my phone to authenticate as he is currently vacationing in Japan. I refused to help him with the pin as I never agreed for him to use personal information. I believe misrepresentation of residence to a financial institution is considered fraud. Does anybody know what steps I should take to protect myself?
