I went to Japan for the first time this past September, and had booked hotels about 6 months in advance with no issue. My friends and I plan to return (bc it was amazing) next year around February-March (2025) to catch some early plum blossoms. I figured it’s a year out, so it’s a good time to research hotels but I’m a little alarmed to find that everywhere I search is sold out. Is it just that I’m looking to book too far in advance (maybe they haven’t started reservations for next year yet?) or is February a particularly popular time and I should reconsider travel dates?
Nothing is locked in yet. I’m still in the research/itinerary-building phase. Any advice is appreciated 🙂
