Hello everyone,
First off I want to apologize if this kind of question isn’t allowed on this sub, I just made this account to post here. I will delete if this isn’t allowed.
I’m a Canadian living in Tokyo on a working holiday visa and I’ve been trying to look for work the past few months on a visa that can sponsor me. I already have a degree in tourism, and I have lived in Japan previously under a internship I did with my college.
I’ve had so many interviews and even got accepted by one, but those all ended up not working out. I’ve mostly been applying to tourism and alt/teaching positions. My Japanese isn’t good enough to be able to apply to a lot of places. My visa runs out in a few months and I’m not sure what I can do.
So my question to everyone is what realistic options do I have left to stay here or what are the realistic options I have if I have to go home and wanna come back. I heard it’s so much easier to get a job once your already in the country. I also heard how competitive and cutthroat it it to get into jobs like Jet. I was thinking about saving up and coming on a student visa and get a job afterwards, but I’m not sure how realistic that would be.
Thank you all for reading and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
