Many years ago – maybe 20? – my wife and I were in Kyoto and ate this food at this place. We are going back this summer and want to know what kind of restaurant this is and what this dish is? Is this an Izakaya and is this just sashimi or is this something else? We also drank tons of sake from wooden square cups. Thanks for any info.
