I just got to Kyoto yesterday and was planning to visit the Arashiyama bamboo forest early (6-7am) tomorrow to beat the crowds, but I’ve read that the forest is very small and extremely overcrowded. Especially since we are here during golden week.
Are there any other amazing bamboo forest alternatives around Kyoto?
Side question, is Fushimi Inari better to visit at sunrise or sunset?
