Here’s my personal experience sharing. You might make your own decision after reading the article.
The cars here are in good condition but the terms of rental agreement are totally unreasonable. Think twice before you bought it.
Here’s the incident we had. When we returned the car we found some tiny scratches caused by the stone on the highway. There’s merely a paint issue but sunken issue. Because of it, we are charged with with 55,000 yen. 35,000 yen is for the paint repairing, which is some how acceptable. 20,000 yen from the loss of operation impact, which is unreasonable as the rental revenue of the car should be around 7,500 yen per day. Not to mention the car still function well. It’s impossible to wait for more than four days to fix it. What’s worse, there is no details of the repairing costs. It was all declaimed by the staffs there.
We are in hurry so we do not have enough time to negotiate with the staffs. There’s no advantage for both English or Chinese speaking user. The key problem is that you do not have suffices time to communicate or learn the local regulation or market price there.
The terms are not visible on the platform so you have no choice but sign it on the spot to accept it. If you do not agree with it, the only choice is to add additional 3,500 yen to buy the full insurance.
If you have no choice, you might make sure you bought the full insurance. I cannot believe such terrible vendor is still on the platform of Klook.
Hope this information would be helpful to you guys to avoid making same mistake as mine.
