EDIT: they already found it!! they can’t give it back to me yet though because of… “鑑識”? forensics, or something?? ma… at least it was found!
EDIT EDIT: they brought it back to my apartment this morning and told me they found the guy and got an apology from both him and… his dad?? I think? Crisis over!
My bike got stolen in the inaka. I went to the koban and gave the cops all the registration information; it was also stolen outside of a station, so they got both the bike itself and the thief on video, albeit with a mask on. So… what do you think are the chances that they’ll actually be able to retrieve it? I generally don’t have a high opinion of police competency, so I just wanna know how hopeful or hopeless I should be feeling right now.
