My partner and I are researching a relocation to Japan from the US. About us:
– late 30s/early 40s, nearly 20 years of professional experience for each of us
– US citizens
~ substantial amount ($) in cash savings
– 2 rental properties in US that provide income of $2.2k/month
We have previously worked as freelancers with six figure incomes each. We are not interested in being employees and would start a business. I assume we should be looking at investment visas.
Can anyone share their experience with this, or add additional insight to the eligibility requirements and application process (beyond what’s available on the visa requirements page)?
