Hi! I’m moving to Sapporo in April for language school for (at least) a year. I’ve been doing some research for things to look out for when settling in and bank accounts seem to be the source of a lot of headaches. Can anyone recommend a decent bank for everyday use? I want to be able to do daily transactions, have a debit card, pay bills, online payments/shopping, and receive salary for part-time jobs. Some kind of English support would be nice (but not the main priority), and it would also be great if I can ocassionally make overseas transfers.
I’ve read good things about Sony Bank, Shinsei, Rakuten, but any recommendations, experiences etc. anyone can share would be helpful!
