I noticed there’s some Hot Springs that are just kind of…public space but it’s fine to wear bathing suits for example Mizunashi Kaihin Onsen. But it’s rather far from Sapporo.
The reason why we’re looking at an Onsens where you don’t have to go full nude is the ladies we’re traveling with are conservative in their feelings about being nude in public. Of course failing full sized hot springs (onsens) where you can wear *something* we’re totally fine with renting a private onsen.
Price wise we’re not looking to spend more than $100 (usd) per person (four of us, two groups so $200 per group) and are trying to stay within a two hour drive (by car) from Sapporo when doing the day ‘bath’. We’d love recommendations
i consider almost a master of google-fu but this has been a difficult googling experience. Looking for something a little more rural esq, or something with at least a good view. 2 hours away by car from Sapporo max, $200 per group max (we’d each get our own private room) or a place that you can wear ‘something’ and is okay with tattoos.
Edit: in the private rooms we obviously wouldn’t care about being nude.
Also thinking about going to Fukiage open air onsen. **i know swim suits are considered dirty** so what would one wear to Fukiage?
