Nah I’ve seen multiple versions of this made enough that I would definitely count it as Japanese.
It’s a typical single Japanese person’s weekday meal.

Oh this is definitely Japanese! We have tuna & mayo rice balls. I used to have this kind of rice bowls for breakfast all the time!
