Hello,
I’m currently in my mid twenties and decided it is time to get my investment in order. I do not wish yet to plant my money in Japan since I might be going back to France in a few years. And looking at the tax system in Japan that seems very complicated, I’m looking towards international brokers where I can transfer my JPY to buy US/EUR options.
Please excuse my newbie questions on the subject ^(‘)
* Apparently IBKR has moved to the less interesting IBSJ. What would you recommend as a broker for a European citizen in Japan ? I’ve heard about TradeStation, IBSJ, Saxo ?
* Is it easy to change the country of residence on these platform or does it means I would need to sell and buy everything back ?
* My company provides a Defined Contribution which I’m already maxing out. So there is no room for NISA or iDeCo. Am I correct ?
* As far as I understand, when I move back I can get hit by an exit tax if my assets are valued over 100MY, am I correct ?
Thank you for your valuable time
