While I wouldn’t have booked him to win the GHC Heavyweight Championship at 58 years old, I just wanted to share some love for the Great Muta/Keiji Mutoh: one of the all-time Greats.

1. Man who has done everything on pro wrestling. Love the Great Muta gimmick and when he became the Shining Wizard the best. His matches with Tenryu, Kawada, and Nagata are my favs

4. Not often someone truly embodies their nickname, and Mutoh does it twice.

   He truly is a “Living Legend” and a “Pro Wrestling Genius”.

8. A true legend. The day he retires will probably be a national holiday in Japan, and rightfully so.

9. It was so cool to see him back in New Japan at Wrestle Kingdom.

10. I think NOAH wanted a pop moments and an Historical moment. While right now ppl thing it was a bad idea, in a few years looking back ppl will just see Mutoh having won the title which adds some extra prestige to the belt and lineage regardless how how the reign was and what age he was at the time. Deffo an all time great though

11. One of my favorites in WCW back in the day. The face paint, the mist, the sheer charisma, he was one of the things that got me hooked on wrestling as a kid.
