I really liked MNN 1 and 2, and I wanted to continue the same series with my tutor. But she basically told me she didn’t like these textbooks and would prefer to teach me out of tobira. And I looked into the books, they’re still on the first edition, unlike the shokyuu books that have a second edition, so I figured there must not be a lot of demand for them. I was wondering what’s so bad about them?

Not familiar with MNN as a whole, but first edition textbooks haven’t been streamlined.
I’m curious too. We’re currently working on Unit 22 in my class. I’ll have a look at both MNNä¸ç´š and Tobira. Since all my classmates are Native Chinese speakers we use a locally licensed and printed edition. I can get Tobira from Kinokuniya.
