I am an Electrical and Electronics Engineer graduated in 2019 from a small south Asian country. I have worked in the field of Telecommunications for almost 3 and a half years here in my country but now for more opportunities and career growth, I want to move to Japan.
I am good at Computer Programming and have good knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++ and Python, but I never had a professional experience in the computer programming sector.
So, from a friend I came across a Japanese human resource company here in my country that connects engineers with Japanese companies. I have been offered few jobs until now through them, but they mostly have connections in the field of Electrical and Electronics companies.
All these jobs are On the Job Training type of jobs, that doesn’t require any prior work experience, and they will teach everything from scratch, but the catch is I need to be in a tight contract with them for almost 3 years for a minimum wage.
So my main question here is, since, I don’t want to work in the field of electrical/electronics/telecommunications engineering now, and don’t have prior experience in the field of programming and a slightly different degree (engineering but not CS or IT) can someone please tell me how do I land similar On the Job Training kind of job for computer programming jobs as a Python/Backend developer or similar roles.
