I went back to the U.S. for a year. I properly paid my taxes before I left. I officially moved out and deregistered for health insurance while I was away.
I found that my pension enrollment was canceled during the period that I was out of the country. As a result, there is no option to pay for that period.
Now that I am back in Japan, I am back in normal health insurance, pension and tax payment process.
I am planning to apply for PR soon. I have all of the points for three years before and now. But does my year of pension non-enrollment give me issues with applying? Am I considered delinquent for a period where I wasn’t enrolled in a pension program?
