Tuna sashimi texture is a little off but tasted and smelled okay. Had very mushy texture.


I gave it a few smells but it smelled fine. The texture kind of reminds me of that gunky part from shrimp and lobster near the head.
It tasted fine too, definitely not fresh but the texture still threw me off.
My partner had the chirashi don and the sashimi on it was not the freshest either and the tuna had the same texture.

The salmon sashimi was also on the brink of being mushy but slightly firmer.

I told our server and our server checked with the kitchen, they told us that it was fresh and they prepare the fish every morning. The chef told us the sashimi cut was near the head, hence the texture. But I am still skeptical about it, we didn’t eat the remaining tuna.
