Yes i know it would depend on how you study but, just a quick estimation. How long would you guys think it would take? And is it possible from this month and day to March?
I’m trying to be atleast N2 to enroll in a Senior High in Japan (seems close to impossible but if i’m able to reach N3 then it’s fine) and is there also schools here that teaches student the subjects (Math, Science, Social Studies and English) for the purpose of passing the entrance exams only? I’m currently learning Japanese through KUMON Japanese School. Thank You 😊

you can probably get n2 with a few months of study, but i doubt N2 would make experience at a Japanese high school pleasant.
I don’t think N2 is enough to warrant the level of a Japanese high schooler who has years of schooling in Japanese.
I would look up resources like videos and books geared towards Japanese high schoolers and gauge what is understandable to you. The stuff tested on the N2 is not gonna translate much to what a high schooler will be learning and exposed to.
Following a standard high school lesson is going to be hardcore if you’re not native, even if you reach N1
With N2… Nah….
I think for the average person who studies consistently, you’re looking at:
N5 – 6 months, N4 – 1 year, N3 – 2 years, N2 – 3 years, N1 – 5 years.
You can do it faster if you are gifted with language learning and put in crazy hours. Some people get N1 in 2 years because of that, but keep in mind they are exceptions to the rule. It takes most people 10,000 hours to become really good at something.
