Japan seems to be religious about how to dispose of garbage and seems to be moving in the direction of more eco-friendly, less waste type policies.
However, I’ve been perplexed by the ubiquitous plastic covers for umbrellas in front of every store. While I totally understand that the stores don’t want to have slippery wet floors, it seems like there’s a tremendous amount of waste inherent in what seems to be one time use plastic covers.
I try to reuse my plastic cover but it got me to wondering if there are alternatives to those plastic umbrella bags that might be more eco-friendly available at a store?
Would love to get ideas.
