Inheritance tax help.

Situation: A grandparent in Canada passed a few months ago. The inheritance has gone through the hoops in Canada (I don’t know what really) and the money is ready to be divided amongst everyone named in the will. It was divided into 9 parts, 1 to me, 2 to my two siblings, 3 to my aunt, and 3 to my uncle. Currently trying to figure out how to transfer it to my JP post bank account (figuring out swift codes and etc).

Need help: The amount is basically $30,000 CAD. How do I start filing, what documents do I need, how much will I be taxed considering the amount of heirs? I’m so confused with the exemption and rules and . Do I just get the money transferred and then file? Is the taxable amount what I get after conversion and transfer fees?

Thanks in advance, I’m just shaking from the stress to come.

edited: I have lived in Japan for over 10 years.
