Hello everyone, just wanted to share my partner and I’s itinerary (we have both never been to Japan before but plan on only doing 1-2 things a day as we don’t like packing our days with activities).
It’s not very detailed as we’re more concerned if our route makes **SENSE AND IS EFFICIENT** (or if we should adjust things like doing a day trip from a different city instead)
Day 1 – arrive in Tokyo at Narita airport – staying in Asakusa
Day 2 – tokyo
Day 3 – FROM TOKYO day trip to Kamakura and yokohoma
Day 4 – leave tokyo, travel to kyoto
Day 5-6 – Kyoto
day 7 – FROM KYOTO, day trip to nara
day 8 – leave kyoto, travel to osaka
day 9 – osaka
day 10 – FROM OSAKA, day trip to himeji castle
day 11 – leave osaka in the morning, travel to Hiroshima
day 12 – Hiroshima/miyajima
day 13 – FROM HIROSHIMA, day trip to kurashiki
day 14 – leave Hiroshima, travel to hakone (hotel stay)
day 15 – hakone (change to ryokan b/c it was expensive LOL)
day 16 – return to tokyo
day 17/18 – tokyo
we’ve booked where we’re staying but we remain pretty flexible in case you have any suggestions!
