Place to live when working in Marunouchi

Hello.

Apologies this is one of these “where to live in Tokyo” posts. I already did some research but would like to get some inspiration from you, as I would consider this as really helpful.

The facts:

– Might be relevant for May this year
– I am not living in Japan yet
– I will be working in Marunouchi – Tokyo station is probably the closest station
– I am interested in a 1 LDK, the budget is 150k to 180k Yen
– I don’t need to walk to work, but I also don’t want to spend too much time in the train. From door to door I would say 30 minutes are ideal.
– I don’t have to go to the office each day, but would go to the office at least 3 times per week.

I have been in Japan a couple of times and I like the western parts of the city. However the commuting duration this is not really a great match. I actually like Naka-Meguro a lot. Koenji and Nakano are maybe also interesting – but this probably more my tourist perspective.

For me it is difficult to say what kind of place I like. I would say it does not need to be a “hip” place. On the other hand I like new buildings, modern looking places.

Thank you so much!
