Sorry for another jr pass post but after doing the math, I have some doubts about the best pass in terms of usability in my case.
First, to go from tokyo to nikko, buying the Nikko World Heritage Area Pass is a no brainer or there are any disadvantages?
For the following itinerary Im thinking about buying kansai hiroshima area pass for 5 days, starting at day 4.
This pass fully covers days 4, 5, 6, 7 and partly covers day 8. The pass costs 17k and I will save 13k.
Day 1: tokyo to kyoto 15.8k yens
Day 2: kyoto 500 yens
Day 3: kyoto 340 yens
Day 4: kyoto to hiroshima to Osaka 24k yens
Day 5: Osaka 1k yens
Day 6: Osaka 400 yens
Day 7: Osaka 800 yens
Day 8: osaka to kanazawa 7.8k yens
Day 9: kanazawa to shirakawago to takayama (Nohi bus) 5.2k yens
Day 10: takayama to tokyo 15k yens
There are other better options?
Im from Europe and I have an Android, it is possible to buy/reserve the bullet trains before my travel?
For the other trains, Welcome suica is the way to go right?
