Hi everyone!
I am currently on a work visa until the end of 2026 and am planning to leave Japan for a year or so to go back to my home country. I would like the option to return once I get things in order and feel that it’s best to apply for a re-entry permit. However, I am not sure about what to do about my address, as I do not own any property in Japan and I am of course not going to rent an apartment when I am not here.
Has anyone ever been in this situation? What did you do about your registered address and phone number?
