I’ll be visiting for my first time with a friend around September/October and planning on stay for 14 days. While ironing out the day by day it was looking to be around 15 to 17 days and i realize that some days may be too spread out and wanted help condensing. My friend and I are the type that prefer not to have an hour by hour itinerary, so everything list is more of a guideline and things to hit. Nothing at the moment is booked and i wanted to devote 5 days for Tokyo, 3 days for Kyoto and 3 days for Osaka, 1 night for Kanazawa and a day for Nara.
One of the main problems was trying to figure out visiting Kanazawa and Nara, I wanted to stay at ryokan at Kanazawa and go there for sort of a rest day/night. But I didn’t know if we should leave the next day early to go to Nara making it a day trip then going to Kyoto later in the day. Or does that seem like too much because I’d have to shift what i have for Kyoto a day.And i wanted to also see where it was possible to squeeze in the Ghibli museum and the Lawson Fujikawaguchiko, or is that simply too much.
