I’m about to rent an apartment for around a month in Tokyo. So far I find the best options in [Metroresidences.com](https://Metroresidences.com) but I have a couple of doubts:
\- They don’t seem to have any customer support. I messaged them 5 or 6 times in a month and all I got (after weeks of trying to reserve something) was a semi-automated message with their FAQ and an apology because they were “short-staffed”. Really not what you expect in Japan. When I messaged HMLET they always reply within the day (but their offering is very limited). The only thing you can do is go through their instant booking that they have for some properties. But I don’t feel comfortable doing it considering the amount and the lack of support.
\- Then you have the deposit, which is a month. So you have to pay basically +2 months to stay one month straight up. Which is not peanuts. I guess I won’t have problems getting it back but it’s pretty steep compared to other deposits.
