March is approaching and it will officially be the start of the rebuild phase of new Japan. Let’s look at the facts before we get to the New Japan Cup.The company has seen a ton of losses with Okada, Ospreay, and Tama out. And Suzuki seemingly out of new Japan for sometime.
And then we are still in contract season where we don’t know who else is staying or leaving. And new Japan can’t really fight back when it comes to getting new talent.
Henare,Wato, Gabe, Sanada and President Tana are injured. The company has young talent but none of them have been established yet. Most of the roster is in their 30s & 40s.
Now depending how the New Japan Cup goes and their 2 big shows in April. It could really show what the company has in terms of their talent and stories to make new japan shine again.
The company doesn’t have the luxury of a TV deal to help financially and a endless amount of talent to bring in sadly. But they do have partnerships that they should rely on to bring some much needed fresh matches in the company.
