If a Junior HS Grade 1 student moves to the US after completing JHS Grade 1 it seems she will be placed in Grade 8 in the US school system. This is the last year of middle school in the US and if she completes it she will qualify to apply for HS in the US. If he returns to Japan instead, will she have to go back to Japan Junior HS Grade 3 or can he already qualify for HS applications in public schools? How about international schools?
