Itinerary check for end of March travel
Hello! We are traveling to Japan for our first big trip together. It will be 3 adults and 2 kids (age 8 and 10). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!
Day 1 – 4pm land at Haneda airport. Have a car service drop us at our hotel which is close by Tokyo Station. Check in and grab some dinner before calling it a night
Day 2- assuming there is some jet lag
– Tsukiji market
– Ginza shopping
– evening if not jet lagged – Akihabara or Shibuya?
Day 3- Meiji shrine
– Takeshita dori
– Harajuku
– end at Shibuya crossing and dinner in this area
Day 4 – Asakusa – tea ceremony
– Senso ji temple
– Ueno park
– evening – Akihabara
Day 5 – Teamlab Borderless
– Azabudai Hills – mall and Mori tower
– Shinjuku Gyoen Park
– Tokyo metropolitan building
– Godzilla head
Day 6 – head to Hakone Suishoen for ryokan experience.
Day 7 – Hakone to Kyoto
– check in to hotel – Do laundry
– dinner Pontocho Alley or Gion
Day 8 – Fushimi Inari
– Kiyomizu-dera
– Gion district – dinner
Day 9 – Arashiyama
– monkey park
– golden temple
– Nijo castle
– dinner in Gion or pontocho alley
Day 10 – head to Nara.
– then Off to Osaka – check in hotel
– dinner Dotonbori or somewhere around there
Day 11 – explore Osaka castle
– Kurumon market
– Dotonbori
Day 12 – check out and head to Kansai airport for a 5pm flight back home
Any advice regarding the itinerary would be appreciated. If anything should be added or taken out. One of my main concerns is getting tables at restaurants that seat 5? Should I be making dinner reservations every night? Thanks in advance!
