I am in the process of applying to OJL school in japan. They will accept me, right now I am finishing up paperwork.

Im a 38 year old American Male and I am a truck driver, desperate for a change and desperate to get good at something. I am interested in the Japanese language as I have visited twice and I have been off and on listening to japanese language apps.
For me is it going to be worth the 10-20,000 dollars to go to school in Japan.
What if I fail? Should I just study in America? I love Japan but I also love the security of money.
I hate platitudes and would like logical sound advice, if you have experience good or bad let me know!!
