My income last year was ¥367,000 from casually teaching privates. I also received ¥1.1 M gift from parents.
1. About national tax, am I right to think I don’t need to file/report anything?
2. I have to file my resident’s tax papers for that ¥367,000. At the bottom of the 2nd page I have to state how I supplemented that. There is a box for “my savings” which I checked. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to tell them about the ¥1.1m and if so, where do I indicate that? I’m not officially a dependent of anyone, though I’m legally married to my same-sex partner who I live with. Of course we are not recognized so we file separately
