Land in Osaka at 8:30 AM on Monday March 11th. Want to check out Dotonbori, explore the Koromon Ichiba Market, and recover from the trip.
Tuesday – Osaka Castle in the morning, also have shittenno-ji temple, but mainly explore without too much of a direction
Wednesday – train to Nara (spending the night here). Deer park, mochi making, explore the park and the town
Thursday – train to Kyoto…. Explore the city, probably check out the Heian shrine, nanzen-ji temple, masala pagoda, hokan-ji temple
Friday – fushimi inari temple and hike in the morning
Saturday – arashiyama bamboo forest in the morning, then kinkaju-ji temple
Sunday – train to Osaka and fly out that evening
My main questions are if any of these sites need a pre-bought ticket? Will I waste a lot of time in que if I don’t? And same for trains. Any I need to book ahead of time, or can I just show up at the stations and hop on the next one without an issue? Thanks!
