Hey everyone!
The Japanese Tourist Association started an accessibility certification program for restaurants, hotels, etc and they are trying to get facilities to apply.
If you could, please let any facilities you would like to use/visit the next time you are in Japan know about this certification!

What does it mean?

As a newly minted wheelchair user, awesome! I never did get the opportunity to visit Japan before the pandemic and obviously the last few years have been a non starter for international travel. I didn’t plan on becoming paralyzed, but I would still love to visit someday. An accessibility program should make those plans far easier.
