So for context:
i am a half filipino half japanese born and raised here in the PH. Been here all my life. my dad used to visit us up until 2008 when he stopped. We then learn recently, in 2024 january, that he died. it ends up he wasn’t divorce to his first wife. but he was legitimately married here in the PH to my mom. now we need his death certificate but we are not in the koseki.
Where we are so far:
we were able to get a photo of the koseki, yay!, but we asked for a copy if we could. We got here by asking assistance from the JFC support center. It’s been almost 2 weeks though and they haven’t replied and we don’t know if that’s all there is.
So now:
I was wondering if anyone here have gone through the same thing and my family and I were wondering if there’s anything else we could do? Been finding it difficult to find legal assistance since i don’t really know what kind we need. We don’t even know if what we’re trying to do is possible.
