I renounced my Japanese citizenship after living in the US for 20+ years. I am thinking of moving back to Japan to work as a nurse (licensed in Japan) and would like to obtain a table 1 work visa. Will my children living in the US be exempt from the inheritance/gift tax law on my assets overseas if I stay for less than 5 years?
