I need help booking tickets to concerts in Japan :(

Hi I’d really like to go see my favourite artists in Japan, I’m currently researching who’s playing when I go over and have tried booking tickets but it seems like its impossible to do unless you have things like, a Japanese address and phone number 🙁

If anyone else has done this please help me !! I’m pretty desperate it’s a bit of a dream so I’m willing to pay anyone that can help too :p

  1. I had to get a friend to pick them up from family mart system before I got there. There was a deadline to pickup. It was overly complicated.

In Australia they just email you the tickets. I don’t know why it’s so complicated in Japan.

So sorry. I don’t know how to help. Unless you can get someone to pick them up for you.

  2. Most of the time, I ask my friend for the address/number.
Also, some concerts/events do tickets lottery. You still pay, but winning is not always guaranteed.

  3. I have been in a similar scenario before, but it really depends on whose live you’re trying to attend and the ticketing platform. It really helps to have a friend in Japan too. Depending on the live and the ticketing platform it could go from ‘hard to get’ to ‘basically impossible to get without a friend in Japan to help’.

  4. I regularly exhibit at art shows in Japan, and actually tend to run into the same issue. Events like this tend to send your tickets by mail, so you have to be careful to use an address that you actually have access to.

Depending on when/where your concert is, I might be able to do something, because I’m going to be in Japan next month, and I have several friends who often let me use their address for this type of thing. Of course, it would depend on whether they’re comfortable with the arrangement, so I’d have to ask.

Feel free to DM if this sounds good to you.
