I really enjoyed the show today

Idk if it was just because of what happened yesterday and looking great in comparison or whatever but i enjoyed this show a lot.

All of the LIJ vs J5G delivered to a pretty good extent; TAKA vs BUSHI was nice for what it was – i’ve liked TAKA’s output a lot from say SJTL last year onwards.

Hiromu vs DOUKI may have been the sleeper match of the night, DOUKI’s always been my boy and i’m delighted to see him doing so well. One of the best underdog faces in wrestling for me and i hope he gets an impressive run in BOSJ to carry on the form.

Shingo vs Taichi was what you’d expect from the two, they’ve got a history of that type of match.

Yuya vs Yota maybe went a little too long for me, i’m not too sure they really worked with the match length all too well but it wasnt bad by any means. I think Yuya gets better and better every single match he has, quite possibly my favoutite out of himself + R3M.

And i loved the main event, a bit sloppy on Naito’s behalf towards the end but i think they put together another good title match with one another. I find SANADA’s current ‘story’ really compelling, Chris really hammering down his tendency to try and change his match strategy to get fans on his side (often to his own detriment). I think SANADA comes out of tonight in a good position, i dont think he wins the NJC but i can absolutely still see a G1 win for him this year on the cards assuming he keeps this up and they play on his character even more than they already are.

It’s an interesting time for sure, in negative ways and positive ways, but i feel a lot more hopeful about everything coming out of today then i did yesterday. Looking forward to the NJC
