16 Day Itinerary Check: Osaka-Miyajima-Hiroshima-KinosakiOnsen-Kyoto-Koyasan: Second time in Japan

My wife and I are going to Japan for sakura season! Our first trip was the usual Tokyo-Kyoto-Nara trip so the point of this trip is more to see the blossoms. We fell in love with all the shrines and temples from last trip and plan to see even more this trip (leaving out the smaller temples in this itinerary for length reasons). We do not suffer from any temple fatigue as there is so much beauty to them! I am hoping to get an itinerary check to see if this itinerary is too packed or will work. Thank you 🙂

**March 28: Arrival day – Osaka**
-Arrive at Kix aiport
-Activate e-sim (Ubigi)
-ATM @ 7Bank or 7/11. Withdraw ¥50,000
-Kansai One Pass IC card ¥10,000 each card
-Pickup JR Pass
-Take train to Osaka
-Hozenji Yokocho alley

**March 29: Osaka**
-Shitennoji Temple
-Explore Old Osaka
-Den Den Town
-Cooking class for lunch
-Dotonbori

**March 30: Osaka**
-Optional day trip to Yoshino if blossoms bloom early
-Backup plan: Katsouji Temple and Minoh Falls

**March 31: Osaka**
-Sumiyoshi Taisha + park
-Kuromon Market
-Osaka Castle and gardens

**April 1: Osaka – Himeji – Miyajima**
-Checkout and train to Himeji
-Himeji Castle
-Train to Miyajima
-Itsukushima Jinja Shrine

**April 2: Miyajima**
-Momijidani Ropeway to Shishiiwa Observatory
-Daisho-in Temple
-Explore the town

**April 3: Miyajima – Hiroshima**
-Ferry to Hiroshima
-Hiroshima Castle Park
-A-Bomb Dome

-Hondori Street Arcade

**April 4: Hiroshima**
-Day trip to Onomichi for a temple walk
-Temples! (Main 3: Senkoji , Saikoku-ji, Jodo-ji)
-Train back and

-Take train to Kinosaki Onsen (~4 hours)
-Onsen hopping

-Take train to Kyoto (~4 hours)
-Gion District at night

-Buy Kansai Thru Pass (2 day)
-Take train to Koyasan (~4 hours)

**April 11: Koyasan**
-Women Pilgrimage Route
-Explore the major temples

**April 12: Koyasan – Departure day**
-Use the 2nd day of the Kansai Thru Pass
-Take train to KIX airport
