I’m hoping someone can verify my thoughts. My cousin and I are going to Osaka for 8/technically 7 full day. We will be base in Osaka the entire trip but plan on doing one day trips to Kyoto/Kobe/Nara. I’m a bit confuse on IC and JR tickets. I think we need both or can we use the IC card for all of our travel? For example I’m planning to go to San Plaza in Kobe and looking at Google map we would to get on a express line or on a JR line to get there. Our starting point would be Namba station, am i right to assume the IC card won’t cover the whole trip and at some point we would need to get a ticket to Kobe? Another question, has anyone use the hankyu/hanshin tourist pass? Would this be a better option than the JR ticket?
